Hi guys! Silly question but can anyone tell me if the E36 motorsport and the E36 318is are the same ride height?

Thanks:thumbsup:

the motorsport will have M tech springs which are lower so it will be lower than a stock 318is

I assume

If I remember correctly the motorsport was/ is 25mm lower than the standard car.

Thanks for all the advice&info, Im planning to make my 318is look like a motorsport. So I cant just fit 25mm springs because the shocks are probally also different? Dont want the car to bounce all over the road. Anyone know where I can find the motorsport/M3 rear bumper? Autostyle dont have them, but they do have the front bumper and sideskirts in plastic, anyone tried them yet?

I think its just the rear splitter thats different, will have to go look, been driving the 325 mostly.Plastic is the best, the autostyle ones look the part, but sometimes dont align perfectgly.

And as for the other conversation, yes, the shocks are different, when you lower a car,you put in shorter shock.else youre shock will be compressed permanently and thus will not be able to perform as it was designed to!

Rear bumper is different-If it was just the splitter(diffuser) then it would be transferrable but it's not.M diffuser will not fit a non M bmper

The bumpers are different but you do get a replica insert for the regular bumper(non M) which will give you 90% of the same effect. An original M-bumper has the extensions on the ends resulting in a shorter space for the insert(diffuser), on the replica the insert is a bit longer and this fits the regular bumpers.
