e36 m50 or m52

Hi,

I want to know if there is any difference between the M50 and M52 head gasket?

The spares shop informed me that they do not have a m52 head gasket for the 320i. They only got a M50 which i purchased.

I think my motor is the M52 but how would i be sure?
