E36 M3 interior

Hi Guys,

I want to fix up the interior of the E36. The door pannels are shot.

Do the panels from the other E36 coupe's fit, and are they identicle, or would I have to try and find a M3 to strip the pannels from?


A second option is getting them recovered, but not sure if that will work as well.

For recovering I'd say go to Handel Street Upholsters.

The panels are the same between the coupes, and even the convertibles. the only difference is M3 doorpads have a tweeter and mid on the door panel, whereas the convertible only has the mid.

Other than that they fit perfect.

The convertible rear panels are slightly different to an M3 and my vert has a tweeter on the front doorpads along with the mid

Im guessing its model dependant

My vert also has a tweeter and mid. But if you do manage to get new doorpads can i buy the seatbelt plastic surround that fits on the doorpad from your old doorpads? Mine are broken.

Saw a vert being stripped, but doorpads had no tweeter. Maybe 325?

I think you could spec it when you ordered. You get a normal sound system and then the nokia 10 speaker system which has the mid n tweeter in doors.

THese door pannels are quiet hard to find!

The ones in my car are completely stuffed. Not sure what the guy did to them.
It looks as if he used black silicone on the top by the window. :yuck:

The rubber seals between the door panel and the window, is that seperate, or is that actually part of the panel ?

I have a 99'vert also with tweeters in the doors...

Anyone got a spare rear left mid for me? Mine makes a awfull noise when I turn up the bass...
