E36 M3 brake pedal fading..

Hi guys,

I've noticed that that brake pedal of my E36 M3 is fading. If you pump the brakes then she holds much better. The is no loss of brake fluid. I suspect it's the master cyclinder. Is this a big job for the experts or can I attempt it? I do know some mechanics.

Maybe start with bleeding the brakes first.

Done that. I held good for a week and then started to fade.

Just contacted BMW now and they don't offer a kit. You have to buy the entire cyclinder at R8500.00.

did you do a complete fluid change?

sounds like maybe you got air into the system

Fluid change yes. Check to see if the brake fluid has gone black. If so time to change. Use BMW brake fluid also

Done that as well. Bled the entire system with new fluid.

I would bleed it again to make sure there is no air
