E36 fog lights

Now, as most E36 guys will know, these lights are susceptible to damage very easily.

Now, I have seen that the original OEM ones, do last long, and don't crack to easily, but get extremely sandblasted in the end...

I'm looking for middle ground. I 'think' that the very cheap options may crack easily, and don't fit well... share experiences here....

I've been doing some research for replacements, and i wanted to share my options here, and encourage people to contribute to this

1. OEM fogs complete: R 1695 ea excl VAT - stearlership
2. OEM fog lense only: R 1262 ea excl VAT - stealership
3. TYC / DEPO (they think): R 310 ea excl VAT - Intercity 012 327 6133
4. Hella: Can't find retailer...
5. Forum sponsors? Does anyone keep these?

Edit to add: The OEM ones are ZKW branded and not Hella from my research..

In my experience having gone through +-5 sets on my car i found the best approach was to use a product called Mr Lens on the original ZKW frames.

the above product is made from an acrylic so its harder wearing then the oem stuff and less prone to sandblasting however it does involve some diy work

+1. Although I think they are now called Advanced Sight Technologies. Cost me R550 for the lenses, put them on a year ago and they still look new..

Sadly Hella haven't supplied me this on my last order meaning they don't have stock of it as well, in my experience (not much) if you don't wanna spend the stealership price then go for the DEPO, I prefer them over the TYC and there are some moving around for abot R400 - R450 per set, they are absolute rubbish, come in a plain brown box.
Let me try with Hella again

That is a good price considering what a set of E30 fogs goes for ...
