Switch next to gearlever , car may then normally pull off in 2nd gear .
I have a E36 318i auto. I think `94 model. Do I have winter mode. Next to gearshift the swith shows from top down : S, E, M - Sports, Economy, Manual modes.
Yes it also has low bottom end torque. I tend to try to get to 60-70km/h quick as I can and then start lifting my foot 1mm at a time until i get to about 7-8L/100.
Yes I know its a 318 and not 325 but I still think its very heavy on juice. I had a Opel Monza 180 GLX before the 318i and I cannot compare fuel consumption. The Opel were driven on fumes many time.
What I can say on the getting it below 10l/100 is that say when going to hit a highway, I try to get to the 110-120km/h zone fast and then lift the foot mm by mm until you feel you just about to loose some speed. I got mine to about 7l/100 at speed of 120-130km/h on the N2.
