E36 cabriolet Gear shift

Hi Guys,

I need advise, I have an e36 vert, manual transmission. i notice when selecting a gear there is a play on my gear knob... could this be the gear linkages is the problem?

thanks dude, is is a big job? id like to do it myself if possible..
how does it fit?

Easy job if you're comfortable working underneath your car.

Removing the prop is not necessary but certainly makes it easier

I had the gearbox out this past weekend and with everything removed(exhaust,prop,heat shields)is really easy to get to. With the e36 the only problem you have is space. Plenty diy's on the interweb
