My car has the aluminium block, and since i bought it always had a smoking problem. Over the last year it has become worse, and the oil consumption has now reached unacceptable levels. So i have decided to overhaul the motor. I will not be using that alloy block, hence another one is needed.

Yep, thats the right thing to do.... replace the alloy block with cast iron, my car is also alloy but mileage is at 250K, whats the mileage on your car LPM320 ?

Why a 323 or 325 block ? isn't its not the same size as a 328 block ?
