my E36 was on a 40 drop on a 17" rim with a 225/45 tire, heres the link to my intro where the pics are http://www.bmwfanatics.co.za/showthread.php?tid=35994 , and yes you need to have a lot of patience, it touches nearly everything but looks awesome..if you drop with good springs and shocks, in terms of comfort it feels like how it feels on the standard suspension.

Do it Mr K

Don't worry about being shy when cars behind overtake you when you're at a speed bump :) you'll get use to it

I just cut it shorter at the end at the wheel the rest fitted nicely.

Trust me it looks fab and the lower centre of gravity in corners does wonders on body roll. Just mind those speed humps and screw those guys in bakkies!!

Quick question ?:sorry:
Why would you wanna drop your BMW , to look good or because others did it.
No offense to those who did but my e36 ain't never being lowered ,had a e30 325i & was a nightmare stock standard height going over humps cause lets face it they are'nt the same height !! sorry dudes just my five cents :fencelook::fencelook::fencelook:

lol dont think he wants to lower it because he wants to be one of the cool kids... think he just wants his car to look better...

The E36 tends to look very high in front once you go custom wheels and then by lowering it you just let it look more fitting, and not like there is something wrong.

Bru just drop it 30mm. i dropped both my e36's eventually. just looks better with a lower stance and corners better 30mm drop should not be drastic enough to f u on humps. But my real opinion is SLAM IT ON COILVERS!:thumbs:

well firstly im not obsessed with dropping my car like most ppl, i just want it abit lower esp the front, like thunder said the front looks toooo high and the only reason im thinking abt lowering now is the rear springs have seemed to lost some of its stiffness so i said might aswell lower it:rollsmile:

You should look at the shocks at the same time if these haven't been addressed for a while.

Let Moranor work a package for you. His prices are very reasonable indeed. :)

While the car look good :) at the same time there's a HUGE improvement in handling. Also since e36's are drivers cars, what better suspension to have then a "slight drop" to improve its already outstanding handling :)

Edit: I rather drive an e36 lowered & excellent handling then one with a 4x4 suspension & body roll
