e36 328i turbo clutch

Evening gents,:=):

So... one of the things that need replacing on my car sometime soon would be the clutch... See pics(page 1) and clutch symptoms(page 2) here:

So... I was browsing the thread on 328i's since getting mine and am really considering turbo/SC options in the future... MAN! wouldnt a Turbo-vert be awesome!:rollsmile:

Since I am going to replace the clutch anyways, I was hoping you guys could please tell me what turbo-proof clutch to get. I’ve heard the 330D clutch is fine? I don’t want MONSTER power (maby one day); I just totally love the sound of a FI car pulling hard... I understand that the 328i motor can handle about 200+kw dead reliably on the flywheel with stock internals, so that’s what I’m going for.

What clutch should i get? How much is the price difference between the turbo-proof clutch and the stock one? And how much does a 0.5bar turbo setup go for? 30k right?

Thanks guys!:ty:

In preperation for Turbo charging it one day I'm busy replacing the clutch on my 328 to a M3 3ltr flywheel and a Button clutch that I got made up.Should be more then strong enough for low boost application.I'm planning to boost 0.7 bar on standard internals and thicker Headgasket for now

I have a lightweight Turbo Flywheel from Boetie Buddler that I ran in my supercharged 323i. I sold the car but took the supercharge and the Lightweight Flywheel out.

Not sure If I still have the racing clutch. I can check for you if you are interested. It was modified for boost by Boetie Buddler.
