Heres my pride and joy.Boston Metalic Green E36 328i.I bought the car about 3 months ago.The car had the Standard Bmw rims on it with a automatic gearbox.

Well alot has changed since then.My auto box started cr@pping out so i opted to change to manual because it was gonna cost me more or less the same.R12k later and My cabby is now a manual. What i did was i kept the original diff in so my gearing was a lot more quicker.

But that is not where is stopped. My Arse was itching alot so i decided to scracth and boy did i scratch.

Here is a list of the Mods ive done

shrick spec cams
uni Q chip
M50 manifold swap
completed Stainless Steel Free flow Exhaust
Big Bore Throttle body ordered from the Uk
18inch Lenso Rims
performance brake pads and discs
complete new headlights with angel eyes and HID

Ive opted to go with a hi performance filter but ive only found one brand that actually does what it is suppose to do,filter.Apexi Power intake. The only bad thing is that ive got to import that too.

Future plans include, refurbish my rims and maybe a carbon fibre bonnet, sports spoilers, refurbish my seats and last but not least some decent sound

here is my before and after with cams and free flow alone

heres my before and after with uni Q remap

and here my before and after remap with the m50 manifold

at the moment my car is putting out 118kw at the wheels and 205nm at the wheels. This was done at the reef.

here are some random pics of my car

hi, sirsparky did you intstall the unichip on your own or just had a shop do the whole install???
i too was in your position cos i also have a 328i and the auto gearbox gave me some trouble so also opted for the manual option with the 3.91 diff......

I heard that you can also get a substantial power increase by changing the intake to that of a 325i.

Have you considered this as well?

I think De@no has done that, cont be too difficult to get hold of a 325i intake mani from a scrap yard

yes,ive done the manifold install.lekka power on top but you loose some bottom end torque though.I had the unichip done at a&m here in bloemfontein.i installed the manifold afterwards and before remap got 109kw atw then after got 118atw...so yes, nice gain.iam just waiting for my bigbore throttle body ordered from uk....its laying at customs awaiting a permit from me,which i was not aware of because there is some clause about second hand parts...now ive got to wait about another week...k@k hey.

but the upsided is this....once ive got the throttle body iam gonna take it to an engineering works to have them copy it exactly and do it locally, making it much more cheaper.so yes iam in the process of supplying anybody who wants one but at much better price.I phoned savspeed and they dont do it.

Sir Sparky, where can i source a set of those cams? I actually wanted to fit that unichip tomorow as i was informed by collegue that theres a new tuner at OPD in ottery that fits this chip and his apparently very good.

If you contact shaun at vanderlinde developments 011 704 3642,he will hook you up.They are quite pricey though.I paid R7k for mine about month ago.Tell him you saw a guy from bloemfontein on the new forum that had his cams in and you are interested.

is cool...you will really enjoy the power the cams give....its a mild cam but it does make a diff.speed and sound did a wright up about the similiar mods that ive done a while ago.The only extra things they did was port the head,M3 branch on the 328i and performance filter

I actually have this article. Saved it a loong time ago. They claim that the mods they done brought the 328i close to M3 power  I have a 4.11 diff nut don't no wether i should fit it or not as I think the ratio is a bit to hectic.
