e34 525i steering/suspension issue and upgrades

I doubt you'll notice a drastic difference on the road, but it would make some difference, and that would add up if you upgraded the other bits too.

well, have my eyes on a set of m5 sway bars, ls diff, and in the distant future koni yellows or bilstein b8's with koni or eibach springs...
dont know if those are the sort of upgrades your talking about...

looking to do the front end completely over first s funds provide then look at the rear,

The only aluminum parts on the M5 are the lower control arms.
The uppers are steel just like any other e34.
The difference you will notice will be huge, but that is because of new vs old parts.
New Aluminum vs new Steel, you wont notice a thing

If I recall correct there is only about a 800g difference between the steel and aluminium control arm.

Like I said before the front M5 suspension makes no difference....or at least no difference that it perceivable by a human.

my wallet is very happy to hear that.

is there a big reason that most people buy complete new arms/components as appose to have the bushes and joints replaced on these suspension components?
or replacing with poly bushes,

seems much more cost effective that way just to replace the worn pieces of the part then the whole thing?

The ball joints on the arms are not removable, so when they say goodbye you normally have to replace the whole arm.
