E34 3.0L V8 info

Hi guys, I have just boughta 1993 E34 with the V8 3liter motor. I can get all the motor info from the net, but does anybody know if this was an import, or were they assembled here? Also How many were sold here, as I havent seen another one like it in CT. Any info appreciated. Cumulus

Its a 530i. 160kw M60B30 engine.

Built locally. There is quite a few 530i's around, but more 540i's.

530i came in manual and automatic format. Some of us 540i owners would love to get our hands on a 530i manual. (Only for the gearbox)
