e32 self leveling rear shocks ride height

Hi Gents

We recently replaced the rear shocks on our 7 but I notice that the wheels are still sitting at a negative camber. The alignment etc. was not not touched.

I've heard that the system needs to be primed/bled in order for the ride height to normalize.

Any advice?

ive got a 1993 730i v8 e32 and it looks like my rears are also fooked.

It was from a very neat 735i that was being stripped.

From what I deduce, I think the garage we sent our car to for a fluid change did not use the correct spec. fluid/incorrect stuff. We then assumed the shocks were foobar & replaced 'em only to see we were back at 1.

The fluid for the self level suspension is an issue,
We actually got our fluid at the AGENTS, unfortunally ONLY the agents keep it, The last time we bought the fluid from them, they could't supply us with the original fluid because apparently you don't get it anymore, but did give as an REPLACEMENT type fluid.

We also wanted to change the shocks on our 735i, but never got to it.
Only issue we have is that the back really drives hard. After the car has been standing for a while (5 - 24Hours), and u start it, she will lift her back up by a few CM's. (Alignment all Right - Checked)

If the system has had the incorrect oil it requires flushing along with the shocks.

Only way to do it is with an air line and a cleaning fluid with the rear shocks out the car so that they may be flushed individually.

Not a simple procedure but neither an insurmountable one.
