Why is it difficult to sell them?

Spares to expensive, or unavailable?

High maintenance cost?

High running cost?

BMW only ever made about 1860 of those engines. If you think owning an M can bite, this thing can bite much harder. Fortunately the rest of the car is stock E32 stuff.

These cars are for the serious collector who doesn't think of parts prices.... like me
