I recently acquired a 93 740i auto. When engine is running hot (not overheating) it seems that she gets a misfire and then struggles to idle. When cold she starts fine and idle 100%. I am currently looking at what type and make of spark plugs she has. Any Ideas ?

I would suspect more of a injector problem then plug problem with that scenario..

Not too sure what they take, I Know I put in bosch ones on my M60, but cant remember... best option is to take out a sample.

There are no plug leads, it has individual coil packs on every cylinder.

I am going to agree with Jandre, there that its most likely an injector clogged or stuck open, but there is really no way of guessing the problem.

Try having the error codes read as your first port of call. WHat you can also do is if you take out the plugs, look which cylinder you are taking out, and that plug should burn a differant color (be more black then the others).
