E30 1987 soft top - Motor cutting out

Hi all,
looking for two pieces of advice:
1. best bmw work shop in Cape Town
2. Any info on below issue (don't have time to check all threads)

My issue:

Since I left my baby in the garage over December for a few weeks and then started driving it again, my problem has surfaced.
Initially it was that whilst driving, the motor would "hobble" and jerk and then rectify and carry on. This issue became an increasing one. Eventually motor would cut out and not start anymore. ONLY after standing for 5 to 10min would it then start normally again. Ive taken it to a garage (Steve's Auto clinic twice) - they cant find the fault. Before i was at Motolek because i had a central locking issue. Since then i've really had this issue.
I will go back to Motolek but was hoping that somebody could suggest a cause and solution and also recommend somebody who is an expert for E30's?
It seems that since I had a new central locking installed is when my regular problems started. Not sure it is associated though. I have been back to them regulalry and they took a lot of wiring and parts out.

I wouldn't advise ever taking your car to Steve's Auto Clinic, they cannot diagnose the simplest of issues.

Mike Bridge in Montague Gardens is awesome with electrical problems and diagnosing the older cars, I believe he specializes in BMW's
He sorted out some electronic issues on my car as well and did an amazing job.
Didn't take him long to figure them out either.
He does do Mechanical repairs as well.
