(E28 M5 Content) Today BMW made my day

Hey

The last 20min have been awesome.

I had to go to Mitsubishi for a part for one of my cars (ball ache) and i decided to pull in at a BP on Bramfischer Rd for some sweets. All sorts FTW.

Anyway, i come out of the shop and there's an E28 M5 that stopped for fuel. Car is "oh my goodness" clean, except it has no front windsceen.

Cirrus blue (i think), original cassette player, 224k on the clock, original wheels, blue seats, blue leather dash. Engine was quiet, no funny noises/ticking.

So naturally, i introduce myself to the owner, he seemed in a bit of a hurry, but i had to find out about the car.

No pics, i didnt want to push it.

I asked if he was on any forums, he said no. He asked if i was at the sandton bmw show, then i said no. Apparently he went this year with a silver 325is evo2.

An old (1920's) car pulled in as well, and for a minute i was in petrol head nirvana.

The garage has a dealership on its forecourt (Carbon Black Auto - Lambo's, Jags, aston martins etc..) but all eyes and i mean ALL were on this M5.

Something about these cars is just... i cant even explain it :inlove:

And then after that i saw:

- 1 x Porsche Carrera (993)
- 1 x Mercedes 190E 2.5 (LHD)
- 1 x A certain green car's yellow sibling

And then a guy in a yellow S3 attempted to keep up with me robot to robot. Fail.

Now i have to return to my day job.

The last 20 min have been awesome, but that M5 is the main reason why:=):

Thanks for looking

It belongs to the guy who owns Monte Carlo Auto. Forgot his name, he used to own Brynston Executive as well.

He has a super amazing 325is in his showroom as well

Yeah. That guy collects bmw's. I went there once to see a e36 m3 when i saw all these classic beemers parked on the side. The salesman said it was the owners personal collection

That sounds awesome.

What car were you driving when the S3 guy embarrassed himself?

91 Mitsubishi GTO

We've had it in storage for a while, busy dusting off the cobwebs and sorting out a few niggles now.
