Just do the collection of toys/clothes etc and do that. It's our 1st charity drive, start small. Braai for everyone will be a bigger task and if we end up with just 5 cars it becomes an issue.

If you are unable to make it but willing to make a donation of some sort, be it clothes, toys, canned food etc. Please say so here and maybe someone can collect from you. The more we have to give the better.
Once we drop off the stuff at the home and spend a bit of time there, head to the beach for braai and 'refreshments' :rollsmile:
Sunset drive to/from Umdloti will be epic.

Gents i have just spoken to the institution manager at Ocean Veiw home. I have a meeting with him at 4. will update u further after the meeting.

we just need definite conformation to make this work because we will need to know what our budget is, should we start it at R100 per person?

I'll donate the R100 either way whether im attending or not...

Yuls you can come with your Corsa if the car isn't available. Avi you can bring one of your other cars?

I will bring my braai stand its average size. Should be ok. Also will bring a cooler box/barf for the "cold drinks".

ok gents just got back from the ocean veiw home and i was shocked to see how little they have. There is about 30 kids there for this semester from the ages of 6 to 12.

the things they need most for the insitution is coffee muggs, glassware and clothes. they are actually drinking from polystyrene cups which is very sad.

he said they are very hesitant to take money because somebody could mishandle it.

so the best option would be for some of the guys come with some old clothes or buy a set of muggz or glass tumblers or plates. then also lets just provide them with a meal as well hot dogs and cool drink will be fine.

so gents what we need to do here is please put what you are going to bring next to your name so there is no confusion on who is bring what but if you can give a bit extra dont be shy.

for some reason when you show up at peoples houses and try put mugs in the cupboard they look at you funny...
