I don't know how everyone else feels but I'm with Prevan. I think we should push the date to second or third week in August. That way we give people plenty time to take off from work and go around family comments and such things. Also it will give our sponser from chip logic some time to get a crew together.

Guys, how about 13 or 14 August? After the last time run, it was suggested that these b/fast runs be used to assist charitable organisations but although the idea was supported, it didn't get off the ground :fishwack:. I would like to suggest that we still pursue this idea. Seeing as we generally do not get very good support at these KZN events with the last event seeing just over 10 cars, to try and provide meals to homes etc may prove to be economically unviable?? Not sure what everyone's financial standing is and we live in expensive times

Maybe we can instead ask all Fanatics attending to instead bring along any clothing, toys, blankets etc (decent condition) that you may not be using and donate these to a nominated children's home. In doing so, it gets the ball rolling and doesnt place any additional financial strain on the attending Fanatics

Lets get some comments / views on this and start planning this event.

How about we have a Sunday morning or lunch time run? Cos some guys have to work on a sat that includes myself...

But I'm all up for that charity drive even if we have small numbers we can start of with small organizations or even seek corporate donations...

Ok guys, date set for Sunday 14 August 2011. All attending fanatics can bring any toys, clothing etc for donation to a children's home. Lets have some nominations for childrens homes......I know that there is a home in Malvern, near where I live. ABH in Chatsworth also has a childrens home. Any other nominations are welcome and we can then finalise which home to support via a vote.
