Drove a F10 528i and 330d this morning

Here's my impressions:

528i:
So this morning I had a nice longish test drive in a F10 528i auto sport and really loved it. Was expecting a slightly lazy drive, but boy or boy can this thing rev quickly. Floor it and pulls to the red line with amazing ease  8 speed gearbox works exceptionally well with this engine too.

Yes, it does lack the torque of the 530d I drove a few weeks back, but it's still very, very good. Also retains that beautiful 6 cylinder tone when it gets closer to the red line.

As for the overall car, the F10 is my current favorite in the BMW line-up. Has that perfect balance of comfy yet sporty ride, but needs the sports pack.

330d:
Brilliant engine for the E90. Drove the heavier 3.0d engine cars previously (X3, X5, F10) but this was my first time pushing the 330d a bit on some nice back roads. Tractability, as expected, is impressive in the smaller E90 body. Ride on the newer generation run-flats is noticeably better too. However, I'm still not a fan of the E90 in general even though I think it's the best drive in it's class. This car does everything perfectly, from acceleration to driver feedback, but just lacks "soul" ... but maybe it's just me getting old :mmm:

As for my slightly nervous passenger and co-driver, thanks for the company :thumb:

Dude, I still have a hard-on from driving the 528i...
I just wish I had the R650k to buy it!! :dropjaw: :hammerhead: :slap: :censored: :banghead:
I must also say that the 330d, although having the most impressive power delivery, really didn't do it for me as much as that 528i reving up to 7,500rpm with ease.
Mo, nothing personal, but I REALLY hate you right now, but at the same time, MOERSE thank you!!!
PS: What do you mean slightly nervious passenger?!? :)

no sorry twinz, I actually asked msm about it, but he said last time they took pics, so this time they skipping on the pics.
If I knew that I would have brought my camera.
PS: have to say I don't think the speeds we were doing at some places should be documented in any way, shape or form... :mmm:

I told msm that he must add our names to the list and inform us in advance.
That way we have time to plan to be there, and you wont have to miss out. :)

The series are really amazing cars, but agree with you 100% here - they do need the M sports kit. I wouldn't have given mine a second look otherwise.

There are a few 5ers around that I've seen with the Motorsport kit, they just aren't very popular to my knowledge.
