Howzit, this morning my car went into limp mode with traction control , eml and brake lights lighting up the dashboard like Christmas in March :(

So i thought here we go..TPS sensors , asc module, clutch switch,etc..:( So before i went to buy the TPS sensors i decided let me check youtube some more and i came across this guy from the states that had the same issues and he replaced all TPS sensors and was about to do his clutch switch, someone dm'd him and told him to check the intake clamps and...sure enough the clamps were hitting on the the trottle when he pressed it down, so he re aligned the clamps and drove the sh@t out if it and NO MORE LIGHTS and no limp mode :) So i thought let me go check and lo and behold same problem(see the pic below)

So re aligned the clamps and wet for some "spirited" driving :) and no more lights or limp mode, just goes to show research is always option 1, so if anyone has that issues maybe have a look first and if it doesnt solve urs then go the TPS route with process of illimination :)

Why would one fit such cheap clamps to the S54 when BMW has already specified a special low profile clamp which costs roughly R40 each.
Boggles the mind!

i did not fit those clamps , i actually ordered the OEM ones today, this was just something i thought i would share as a fix for non professional BMW mechanics that get stuck in a sticky situation.
