Downgrade my e92 325i M Sport from A/T to M/T

Aficionados!!! raise:

I am a pure enthusiast of driving meaning I believe in:

1. Straight 6 on the front
2. 6 Speed M/Transmission in the middle
3. Power going to the rear" ==Petrosexual Handbook, Ch.1 , Pg.1==

unfortunately I have not been able to live my dream of owning a straight 6 e92 with M/T. But I have what most people want.. a steptronic.

So I appeal to you all. Do you know anyone that would want to swap their M/T (GS6-17BZ) for my A/T (GA6L45R).

Please note that this would be a significant upgrade for the person who would wish to swap i.e.

1. A/T (GA6L45R) - Max. Torque Capacity = 450Nm :bravo:, compared to
2. M/T (GS6-17BZ) - Max. Torque Capacity = 300Nm :thumbs:

I don't mean to kill your dream but that's a swop that will cost you over 30k in labour and ancillary parts...before the cost of the gearbox...

Not to mention the coding that has to be done, and this is not simple coding like turning of a warning light, everything from the engine to the DSC module must be reassigned to a manual gearbox...

However Kish is right, its not just the box

Flywheel
Clutch
Peddle box
custom wiring for a lot of differant inputs...
Drive Shaft
Diff
Input ratio on diff

You DO NOT swap a wiring harness on an E92, unless you physically want your life to suck for 2 months...

If you have oodles of money to blow, then ya,

My advice however is simply go and buy one, it will be cheaper in the end...

this is not what I expected. I think I will just sell the coupe and return back to my weak e90 N46B20 since it has a getrag GS6-BG17 :bangdesk:
