did you get any performance gains or not ?

What change before and after fitting besides the noise.

Hey guys, that's my opinion and the opinion of Terry Burger as well who has stated that DP's on the M3/M4 gain zero hp. Each person can agree/disagree with me and Terry and if they have before and after dyno's of the SAME car with the SAME fuel and same mods (bar the downpipe), then that will contribute valuable data to the community.

I counted earlier this week and I have modified 73 F8X M3/M4's to date.And I have dyno'd around 45 of them across 3 dyno's. Not all had downpipes but a far amount did. My data shows minimal peak horsepower gain, but a reduction in lag of around 400-600rpm and an increase of 15-20NM before 3500rpm. But zero peak hp gain.

If anyone had empirical data showing otherwise then I am more than willing to learn. Always looking for an opportunity to learn more in this game.

Most yours cars would be modded together with downpipes. Based on your opionion and Terry's it could be true but he also did these runs on the very first F8X cars a lot has changed since.There are reports that downpipe yield up to 30hp to 45hp. I understand you tune cars but the OP needs fact rather than an opinion. Not saying you are incorrect at all as most guys get a tune or jb4 first then the downpipes so to estimate gains on a stock car is quite difficult without doing before and after dyno runs...

What the OP needs is proof on weather a stock F8X with dowpipes gives the car some added gains. We all know on a modded car with downpipes the gains are tremendous

Nothing changed since it was launched. unfortunately i don't have data for the OP. My data proves the contrary unfortunately. But I still sell Dp's weekly for the M4 so it's all good and I sleep well at night. LOL
