Ive been trying to log in to the forum for months now, send numerous emails to the Admins for help, and am yet to recieve any info.
It was nice and busy back in the day when is till had my A4, circa 2011-2015.

I wanted to find any info on the Audi Q5 3.0Tdi's and info on mechatronic and clutch replacement etc, but no luck.

Makes me grateful for this this forum. It really is awesome that you can logon every day, and there is new content, chats and guys still giving advice. and a nice vibe too.

hi FILV i hope you come right...just picked up mine again now for full replacement
Its an attractive option in the 180-210k mark for the price of a high milleage X3 20D, you can get a pre-face lift Q5 3.0 Tdi.
So was just trying to find out what to look for.

but after having test driven a few, i kind if have figured it out. The ones that had them on the way out, have a slight judder on pull off.

The one dealer had jsut redone the mechatronic and clutch packs at a specialist (there are many dsg/s-tronic especialsits out there) for R40 000.
Unfortunelty i missed out on thsi car, as it already had an approved application. Owner had ticked every single option avaiable, even heated rear seats that i didnt knwo was an option.

Either than that, seems if the Haldex oil service and S-tronic service, as well as normal services have been done on time, its a reliable car.

Wasn't the post facelift 3.0 TDI fitted with a more reliable Tiptronic box?
The high torque was not kind on the early DSG boxes.

many specialists out there but not many are...for R40 000 it must of had a mechatronic repair ..audi asks R80k i think and i just paid R24000 for clutches with discount and then its oil etc at another few thousand and then labour cost which isn't cheap. Would of been a R200k bill at Audi including the gearbox which got damaged too.

Was a member 10 years ago and didnt even own an Audi, used to attend their runs in my BMW.

Can imagine how disappointed I was to find the forum deader than fried chicken when I bought my 8V A3 last year, took two weeks just to get a new password.

I think we can also agree the "forum" platform whilst hugely informative is no longer what it used to be - New cars with warranties and plans have caused people to hold back on experimentation and modifying, whatsapp and facebook have made this kind of conversation far more accessible and with quicker responses and a younger audience. As communities shift from platforms like this you lose a lot of incredibly knowledgeable people and you are left with a dying community.

The Audi Club, Seat Club, hell the MINI Club and to an extent this forum, have all suffered as a result.

Hi all,

Reviving this thread,

I'm looking at either getting into a BMW again, 335i e90 or e92, though with that in mind, I am also very much leaning towards an Audi B8.5 S4...
Please don't shoot me down for this, I know this is a BMW forum, but looking for advice.

I understand the Audi forum is dead, which is unfortunate.
Are there any other, WhatsApp, Facebook, forums etc to chat and get information from Audi enthusiasts? Ideally a platform with good/like minded people like the BMWfanatics.

Please let me know,
Thanks
