Does BMW MP cover wheel alignment?

Hi gents

I didnt want to crash the other thread regarding the negative camber issues so opened a new one.

Does BMW MP cover wheel alignment and how often can you take it in?

I'm still under MP and would like to do wheel alignment. Not sure if i should go to BMW or TWT etc.

When you take you car for service do they check alignment etc?

Thanks

I'm in the process of trying to find out as well.

Called BMW this morning regarding my caster issue and awaiting a call back from the head technician/mechanic. If they say I must bring my vehicle in for alignment I'll check with them regarding the MP.

Once I know something I'll post it here.

Yep they do cover it

Just tell them to check it and they will sort out.

I suspect once or twice a year.

No they don't check the alignment and yes it is covered by Mplan. Just remember to tell them to do the alignment, don't ask them to check it.

One free alignment every 25000kms :coolShake:

You can ask them to check it more often, I used to do that, they usually confirm if it was needed to be set or not. Suppose it depends on the dealership though. I used to use Club motors Fountains, and they have excellent customer service.

Yes they do.

A very friendly service advisor told me "not" to ask for it directly. Rather complain that the car is pulling to the left/right, etc...

Yes, I had the same comment at Forsdicks Tygervalley.

Yes they do, they always did my ex car's alignment, you have to have runflats on though. Else you pay for it.

Does non RFTs affect MP in any other way besides not having alignment covered ?

It's relative to the situation and the how sticky the dealer is.

Nope, my car went in for services, clutch replacement, new pads discs, etc, never had a issue. Was told told if there is a suspension related incident, they might refuse a claim. Had a loose "something" on the suspension, was repaired, no issues. How they going to confirm its the tire that caused it?

Car went in for a service and brakes once at SMG, usual other stuff was always done at Club motors Fountains.
