Does anyone know where I can get Lemforder control arms other than BMW?

As the title states.

After doing some research, it seems that the Meyle ones aren't very good quality. One supplier (eactuning) sells OEM arms with Meyle HD bushings pressed in. They also said in a thread that they can sell you Meyle arms if you want them, but they do not recommend it. Since I already have Meyle HD bushings, and my original ball joint is now almost falling apart, I would like to get my hands on a Lemforder (OEM) control arm, but they are R2400 at BMW, which is 20x the dollar price. Already called Bemows, they can sell my a Meyle with 30% markup from Incommex, but no OEM.

TIA

The bushes have done 5000km and still doing fine. But I installed them into the original arms, thinking the balljoints are good, but on installation, I felt the right hand side is quite loose. Then after a couple thousand km it started making clunking noises sometimes on braking and turning. The noise is now coming through quite often especially when driving over uneven paving.

At least I picked up a universal balljoint separator today at Midas for R175, now I just need to hunt down an arm. I found a company called Z F Lemforder Pty in Rosslyn, will try them on monday.

there is a ZF lemforder here in east london aswell, I'm visiting here for a week and I just drove past it this afternoon...

you can buy lemforder control arms with bushes from Imcomex in centurion also... I ordered Meyle HD control arms/bushes from them and they sent me original lemforder ones... so I sent them back... so I know they do have them....

Hi P1000, were you able to source Lemforder control arms at all? I have been phoning around but am starting to get the feeling that nowhere do they sell this control arm in S.A. other than from BMW?

Yeah. I ended up buying it from a contact at BMW for R2k (list was something like 2252). Proceeded to remove it, inspected removed part, and returned the new part to BMW who, after some persuasion, took it back.

If you want lemforder, you will have to either import it from pelican parts, or ebay, or bend over at the dealers...

thanks... i thought as much... i was looking at fcpgroton to import from.. will see how they compare to pelican parts... i have actually ordered from pelican parts before (hydraulic belt tensioner)... so would probably prefer getting from them.

Update - just checked pelican parts... seems fcp cheaper than pelican (for lemforder).. .
