DISA flap for E90 325i pre FL

Dealers quoted ~R10k for both, which is quite excessive for plastic clips.

Having gone through this with my 330, BMW is the cheapest. If you need the DISA, don't mess around, just go buy and fit! I took my DISA out to inspect it and saw it was toast on the Sunday, got prices to replace and BMW was the cheapest and had stock, I carried on looking and on Tuesday the flap broke properly and sucked the pin into cylinder 6. Long story short, no idle, no compression, bent valves on cylinder 6. Lots of work and money... silver lining is I now have a ported 330i making plenty power.

Imcomex is at least R800 cheaper than BMW and their product is of similar quality, if not better. And every single dealer I phoned did not have stock.

How much did BMW quote you?

DISA 1 broke off and my mechanic managed to get it out, so I'm currently driving with DISA 2 only.

I need to clarify that mine is an E46. BMW quoted me R3k ish ex VAT, and had stock, next closest was Goldwagon at R3600 ex VAT and didn't have stock, neither did Diesel Elec and Bruce's was slightly cheaper for a used one. Never heard of Imcomex and wouldn't risk another engine rebuild; would rather just get a BMW part seeing first hand what damage it can do if it fails.
