Hi Guys

I have a 2006 323i e90 and I just ordered a new 320d e90 FL

I know when they first released the face lift models they said there were quite a few changes does anyone know what they were?

I hope that strenthened the suspension a bit my 323i is plagued with wheel alignment issues it went off for nothing and 17" tyres are not cheap as specially the back ones this was quite new for me moving from a e46 that never had a wheel alignment issue.

Also what will I be missing from my 323i when I drive my new 320d and what will I me enjoying more in my 320d.

Dude you will love the torgue on the diesel.. :) that is a fact. :)
Congrats on the upgrade is the next answer and to be honest i haven't had any wheel allignment issues on my 2006 323i

You will see slight changes on the interior of the car and the outside you will only notice the bonnet + front grill changes.. lights in front look a bit different if you have xenons and you will see the backlights have also changed. :) off hand thats what i can think of.

Thanks Guys

I just hope I get better than the 12 liters per 100km fuel ecconomy and that is driving it nicely

As far as the wheel alignment goes its a mess on my 323i I have to go in every 5000km and its not slighly off its way off and the camber on my right front is off I have no idea why I have never hit a pavement or anything with it I dodge potholls as much as I can .

The thing that really eggs me is that I take it to Autoquip they say the camber is messed up then I take it to BMW and they say the camber is fine but proof is when my tyre startes to wear on the outside so its just back and forth and at R2500 a tyre its not a cheap messup

I agree with you there drugekull...

Really strange that you have that problem, my tyre wear is spot on but i do have the sport suspension so NFI if that will make a difference.

As for your fuel consumption... that is hectic dude. when doing some really spirited driving i go max 11l/100km and around town in traffic is 10.

But i am sure you will love the 320d and diesel economy... KING_RSA will be able to help you there as he got the dynamic edition recently :)

I can also tell you something that changed which was actually picked up by a mate of mine

In my 2007 E90 on the dash i had a water temp guage

On the FL E90 its back to the usual BMW real time fuel usage guage jobbie

I have no temp gauge, no dipstick :(

Bloody hate not knowing what's going on with those and relying on tech to tell me.

Yeah that is what I first had an issue with the e90 I hate not knowing when the car is at temperature so I can start gunning it.

Jakkels you economy is a lot better than mine I have not seen 10l/100km in a long time

Also note on a long trip to durbs or something I will get 6.5 or 7 so it is quite good on the open road and 10 I only get when I have a low traffic week but one bumper to bumper session in a week and my consumption shoots up

Very strange but hey you getting a diesel soon so consumption will be a thing of the past i would say. :)

Still i think KING RSA will be able to tell you better as he has one. :)

:bravo: on your purchase of a diesel and welcome to our community!

The car you have is a real beast! I drivie spiritedly and its never gone past 9l/100km. Its currently sitting at 8.3l/100km and thats with traffic.

On a long run to dbn, it goes down to 4l/100km.

But, this all means nothing because ...........
