Level 60 monk, Act III Inferno. Stuck at the moment since my DPS is too low (around 25k) so it takes too long to kill everything.

If anyone here has a 70k+ DPS Demon Hunter, Wizard or Witch Doctor who needs a tank drop me a PM.

Get rid of vit and add res...you need armor for act II onwards.

I also had that problem...problem was buying items when you have to repair all the time.

Inferno is becoming rather insane. I haven't been able to get past Belial at the end of Act2. I've farmed the first 2 acts a few times now in public games and spent plenty gold tweaking my stats/damage. Currently got a Demon hunter with 40k hp, 42k damage and I still can't do much without a really decent tank in the party. Oddly, it seems there aren't much groups running the later quests of Act2; many groups in Act1 though.

I have seen some absolutely insane peeps in the public games. I've seen a demon hunter tank better than a barbarian and as well as a wizard tank better than the barbarian in the group. Granted, there are also very decent monks and barbarians in public games. I'm just wondering how much gold must have been spent to get gear to be able to play that! Either that or I'm doing something wrong.

Just item armour? Doesn't that just add physical resist? What is a good static armour without buffs? say around 6-7k?

I found physical damage resist (which is included in resist all) better than armor???

Am I missing something?

I'm starting to see crit hit chance and % is underrated...

Sorry for late response...haven't been checking BMW fanatics for Diablo chat lol

Monks and Barbarians are tanks, that's what there meant for. So don't expect heavy DPS. Most I've got out of my Monk is 18k dps, yes I know that is pathetic.

These 2 classes need resistance more then health in act 2 on wards. Its more important then health as little armor and resistance takes all that vitality away when attacked by blue/yellow mobs. I believe you need 600 + on res. The best part with monks is the one is all passive, so just stack on one resistance then spam all resistance with that passive.

On your weapons, you should get life on hit (though I prefer crit hit as I play solo some times and want higher damage)

My Friend is a barbar and his res is all +/- 1k. His damage sucks but he stays alive...which is what you need. Combined with some range heroes and your sorted.

My other friend (witch doctor) took out Diablo out by himself in inferno. We all had to congratulate him on that. Huge feat

Key to success is items from auction house = millions of gold

Get the gold from rare items found = magic find which should be +300% and luck

Hope this helps and i'm not to incorrect here

At last something to do aside from item hunting and auction house trolling. Thanks for the Link :ty:

The new patch does address some concerns which is good to see. Personally I am happy with most of the changes. The most concerning is the difficulty level of Inferno which is being reduced, IMO the current system works fine where Act I is very easy, Act II is easy but you have to watch yourself, Act III is a nice challenge and Act IV is bloody hard. I love the modifications they made to the skills as well as the new "endgame" levels will be awesome. Think it goes live later today or tomorrow so can't wait to play.

@Andy: Saw you completed Inferno the other night, congrats!
