Decat on a 325?

Hi guys,

so looks like I might keep my car for another year. So I'm thinking of doing a decat and installing one of those foolers and removing one of the boxes in order to get a bit of a better sound.

Is that a good or bad idea?

You talkin about the mini-cat? Heard about it. Glad you asked, I also was thinking aboutdoing the same on my e60, '23. Would like to know whats the diffs in performance and consumpion as wellmand if theres any side effects.

jip mini-cat :) Forgot what it was called :) Had in on my Focus and worked 100% for the car not to show any errors.

Performance side... Don't think you will gain much. Guy told me if you install a complete custom exhaust then you can gain 10-15% of power but don't think its that high. I would say about 5-8kw for a full exhaust (might be wrong :))

I do have a performance filter that I bought from a guy on the forum but didn't make any diff in performance or sound really lol

Thing is I don't want to spend much because I know I will trade the car as soon as I can get a good offer (which is a bit hard to get)

btw, I'm in a E90 '07 model

Just remove the cats on the mani. There is no mid section cats on an e90.

You will need to do software though otherwise its going to burn rich.

don't want to do software coz that's going to cost extra and no use on the car :) Unless its like 40% gain lol
