Hey Rodga,

I live in Centurion and I must say that I also havn't had good luck all the time with the dealers. I started my BMW experience with the old Club Motors in Pta, think it was Visagie Street, but had my vehicles serviced at Leo Haese Hatfield. I always had a good experiece with them. My X5 is going back to Leo Haese Centurion on Thursday for the third time for same work that has been done August last year and repaired last week.

Then again, they were so good in assisting me with quick help on a Friday afternoon at 17:00 when I got my X5 back from Lyndhurst in Sandton when they replaced the turbo and engine mountings just before the motorplan expired.

What you need to do to have things replaced just before the motorplan expires, I don't know. I bought my X5 from a guy who had the car checked through and he maybe had some contacts, but I am sure that if you ask them to check certain things like common wear and tear stuff, they will probably check and advise you, but remember, they know that it will cost them money to fix, so be weary...

Hope you come right.

Hi All

Based on my personal experience I think Auto Bavaria Midrand offer the ABSOLUTE BEST SERVICE - allow me to elaborate. I started dealing with them when I bought my e30 325iS. Notwithstanding the age of the vehicle (and the attached stigma) I was and have always been well received and have consistently received friendly, honest and efficient service. On one occasion when the car went for a 75 000 km service one of the technician dented the bonnet – despite the age of the car, stone chips and the old paintwork (approx 17 year old) they had the dent pushed out by an approved BMW panel shop, without further damage to the paint, at their costs and without a fight or fuss. Since then they have serviced my 325i (e30) and both Ms and I don’t have a single complaint. They seem to have a low staff turnover, which is good because you get to build up a relationship with the okes……ok, I’ll be honest – I remember them but they only seem to remember me after they lookup the vehicle details on the computer system but they are still great.
