Dealers are rip off

Hi there, I love my BM's and have been driving since the Box shape has come out. My beef is with the dealers that want to charge you for extra's when you purchase from them, and dont want to pay you for your extra's when you trade in so the only people making a killing is the dealers. I want to trade my current 320D and they do not want to pay me for my extra's but I must pay R30-R50K for their extra's on a pre owned??

Anyone know of a good 320D sports pack, 2013 model for under R400K?

dealers are stealers.... :nonono:

on the other hand, based on where you are located, you could probably go to a preferred dealership and a preferred salesman. While you might not be able to get the worth of all your extras, you might be able to secure a better deal.

Sell privately or find a pre owned BMW at a Non bmw dealership if you need to trade in.

I was getting a much better trade on my BMW at Merc where i saw a pre owned bmw few months back.

Or, you could buy second hand to begin with and get the benefit of all the extras (if you search for a nicely spec'd car).

It is common knowledge that extra's have very little impact on re-sale value. They nominal resale value will be much the same, but a higher specced car will just be an easier sell.

The only time extras will make a slight difference in resale price, and I mean very slight, is if the car is full house.

We don't call them Stealers for nothing.....

You buy new form them, add extras from them(with insane prices) yet it's a potential loss to you on trade in

Win Win situation for them:thumbdo::thumbdo:

Just had the same story!

Wanted to trade the 2004 Z4 in on a 2008 Clubman S

Floor price was R141999
Offer started at R144999, plus R11k for extras, the car already had!
Then add other nonsenses
Total sell price R174990

I found the same car on Gum tree for R132000, with the same Number plate,
Lot next door!

End of the day, keeping the Z

BMW dealers are another species all together..... Their stock on the floor is precious but your trade in is worthless to them....until they mark it up for another 50k and sell it :bangdesk:

Good day! I agree with you 100%. Dealers are a rip off. Maybe i can help you: I 'source' almost any part for BMW's, used but original, that's what i do, so if you are looking for anything now or in the near future, let me know. I specialize in ''sourcing" parts at a very reasonable price.

Cheers,
