Data Monitoring Apps

Hey guys. Do any of you know of an iPhone app that monitors wifi data usage? I noticed that over the past few weeks that my phone has been using insane amounts of data in the middle of the night and early parts of the morning. There was one night where it used about 4Gb of data in one night:flyfun: I confirmed this by going into my routers logs and found the mac address of my phone to be the culprit. When I picked up the 4gb usage I immediately attributed it to the podcast app which I deleted, but this evening I decided to check my data and noticed that it's still using data in the middle of the night.

I need an app that can monitor the data as well as tell me which app is using so much of data:flyfun:

had same thing happen to me. Strange hours. Normal between 1 -4 am. Lost over 10 gigs. When I asked Mtn to do a trace on the web addresses seems there was some form of hack/clone (sim) going on. Now i airplane mode when i go to bed and keep an eagle eye as i have prepaid.

I have an 8ta prepaid 3g modem hooked up to a router. I don't usually monitor my data as I don't use that much, but when my 2+1gb top up got capped after just 3 days when it normally lasts me 3-4 weeks, I got suspicious:flyfun: I just topped up a few days ago and now I'm left with 300mb:nonono: I'll maybe try resetting my phone this weekend to see if it makes a difference, but if it's a specific app then it'll prove pointless unless i find out which app is the culprit:flyfun:

This is why I refuse to take out data contracts:thumbdo: Had that 4gb been billed out of bundle rates I would've probably been hit with an R8k bill:nonono:

In my case I don't think it's a cloned sim because it's wifi data and according to my router logs it's only my phones mac address that appears in the early hours of the morning. All my pc's in the house are off at that hour and it's only my phone that stays connected.

8ta contracts actually stop data when you are out of bundle and asks you if you want to buy an additional bundle, or go out of bundle.

As for monitoring data, get a router that support gargoyle. Google "gargoyle router".
