CV type clicking noise on e34 M5

HI people,
My M5 makes this sound when load is applied on the drivetrain in any gear. The sound's frequency and intensity is related to vehicle speed and torque applied respectively.
Sounds exactly like a FWD car's CV joints that are shot.
The car has no vibration whatsoever.
I enquired for new prices on CVs and the stealerships wants R7500 a side:dropjaw:
I cant seem to get aftermarket ones.
Please tell me it is something stupid. all the rubber boots are still in tact.
Does these things have a CV on the propshaft as well?
Would the prop need re balancing if that is the case and it was replaced?
Can anyone please advise.
Thanks, C

Problem found:thumbsup:
It was a combination of the centre bearing hanger and the CV on the propshaft.
Got it up n running again last night and although the noise is gone, the car now has a slight vibration between 50 and 70 km/h which it never had before:cursin:
Over the years we have tried a lot of different "propshaft specialists" around pretoria and they are all f#cking idiots.
There is always a problem when the thing returns and it has never been the case where they reccomended something to be replaced and we declined. We always trust their judgement and tell them to do whatever is necessary and when you complain afterwards, they dont have a clue what else to do since they usually have replaced everything by that time and balanced it the n th time.
I really want to get Coisman to skiet die bliksems
