Crime in East London

Hey guys. It seems East London has become a hotspot for criminals lately and they've become pretty brazen at that. Their modus is not to break in while you're not at home, but to wait for you outside and force you to let them in so that you can forcefully donate your hard earned possessions to them. Last Saturday a family friend arrived home, when 4 armed guys fired 3 rounds into his car as he tried to drive away, luckily no one was hurt. No one knows whether it was an attempted hijacking or whether they wanted to gain access to the house, but they didn't hesitate to pull their triggers:nonono: The full story is in the Dispatch (30/10/2012), however the story failed to mention the fact that these guys have a short fuse and won't hesitate to get violent.

So this is just a heads up to the EL fanatics to be on high alert and on guard. Its a shame that we've resorted to living in fear of these guys:nonono:

Not just in EL. Everywhere in the country. In Bloem, the scum seem to target older people. They beat the victims to within an inch of their lives for good measure despite receiving NO resistance from the victims.

It's pretty sad:nonono: Just last week a lady in my area was robbed. They tied up her 2 kids and she was forced at gunpoint to hand over her possessions for over 2 hours.

Housebreaking isn't something new in EL, but for them to be this brazen is a first. And they seem to be doing it any time of day:nonono:

I have to say though that the response by the SAPS was pretty outstanding on Saturday night. They arrived on the scene within 3 mins after the attempted hijacking/housebreaking.

It is actually true In the Free State the violent crime and attacks is at a all time high targeting older people and woman. reports say that people have been beaten with hammers and tortured with screw drivers slashed with machetes, shocked with electric cables and beaten with crowbars the list go's on and on and on.

Its depressing. Shocking Truly Shocking. :nonono:
