Ok first up...

were the early models (06 - 07) 335i's fitted with a factory oil cooler?

@ the JB3 guys, What is the highest map that you guys run on pump fuel with supporting mods (high and low alltitude)- Dp's, DCI's, DV's etc etc

I know Twinz mentioned that he hasnt really got traction problems, as his coils are doing a good job, but what about those on stock suspension and non rft tires... how is traction on on higher maps, and for those that track their 335's, do you feel that a LSD is REALLY necessary?

^ theres more, but i'll stop for now:thumbsup:

1. My 06 model did NOT have an oil cooler.
2. I had lots of wheel spin when car was stock on JB3 map 4 & 5. After suspension install and tweaks wheel spin radically reduced. also had more spinning on 17' tires than on 19'...19s better for me.
3. I know this is for jhb...but i run map 9 with all bolt ons and race fuel (race fuel a must) on map 8 & 9 to avoid knocking. But i kept stock DV's...sustained boost at 6000rpm per BMS gauge 15.5psi...boost spikes sometimes run as high as 18psi...never had a problem with stock DV's
4. With a 24ohm board i can definitely run map 11 or higher especially if i need to take on Matts M3 again

revo what are your thoughts on this????

Excellent thanks man
Did you have any probs with your HPFP on your 06"?

Also what do you rate is a safe map to run on for daily driving, with all supporting mods and 93 pump fuel?

Based on your experience with the 335, do you think it would be suicide to purchase an older model with +- 35 000kms and mod it without the backing of motorplan coverage on the engine & drivetrain, or is it best advised to return the car back to stock for services...

Your response is much appreciated:thumbsup:

"...Matts M3 again" .... meaning you've had a run:excited:

1. HPFP never had a problem
2. Map 5 or 7 (it has the lagfix) as daily map with all supporting goodies. I run map 7 all the time.
3. My 2 cents: A 335 without motorplan is suicide...especially if modded. Or at least take out an aftermarket warranty with Hollard or so and cover the engine/turbos/ etc...
4. Even a stock 335 could develop problems if not under some sort of warranty/motorplan.
5. I had my 06, 335 for 3 years and sold it with only 30 000km on the clock....nothing wrong with the car...was going brilliantly...motorplan and warranty was in place...but i wanted the facelifted model and it had to be black.
6. Jezzy...Still have (Wow feelings) seeing her pull like a low flying jet....
