Cosmetic upgrades - F30

Hi Guys,

I recently acquired a F30 330d msport, i must say very impressed as i previously had a F30 320d and feels completely different.

Looking at doing a few cosmetic upgrades and would love to get advice from forum members and also any referrals of where would be the best to get these upgrades done.

Looking at doing the following let me know what you'll think:
1. Changing the wheel color to silver from the current color (very confused if I should do this as some days I like the current color and some days I don't)
2. Making the calipers red or blue? Please advice who can get this done for me?
3. I have a brand new gloss black front m performance splitter and lip which I will be fitting on soon
4. Do I get the double slat kidney grills and mirror covers gloss black or wrap the current ones gloss black?
5. Currently have the m performance rear diffuser which I need to get sprayed gloss black together with the boot spoiler. (Please advice best place to get this done)
6. Any other upgrades forum members have done which can be suggested will be appreciated.

Please let me know what you guys think, and also please suggest where I could get the work carried out.

1. I like the current colour and brake dust won't look as bad as it does on a silver wheel.
2. Blue - most wheel shops and customising shops will do this.
4. The dual slat grilles and M3 style mirror caps look way better than the standard wrapped parts.
6. Any performance stuff yet? Remap/software and a downpipe for starters.

Car looks already I think!

I understand your wheel colour situation...silver wheels looks BIGGER alwasy. Maybe go silver faces with the black insets to make them pop [and to make brake dust less visible].

On the calipers - entirely up to you! Is this not something you'd look at doing yourself? Will take half a Saturday and gives nice bonding time with the car

@FiRi@Rennzport is one of the forum advertisers & currently has the dual slat grills on special IIRC. They can assist with most performance parts really. Maybe you can get a special on bulk

I agree with @///M Individual on the mirror caps - the M3 style are nicer for sure.

Next upgrade you NEED to do hahaha - exhaust! Have a look at my ride thread and pop a message if you'd like any details or to chat.

I haven't done too much on my car [still undecided on front splitter!] but I have done a few cosmetic mods that I don't think look too bad.

Congrats on the new Car!

if you dont like the colour of the rims 'all the time' , change it, i personally dislike dark coloured wheels especially on a white car as I feel it makes them look smaller and you cant appreciate their design.
with regard to the cosmetic mods , get the dual slat grills, they look soo much more better, it was the first thing i got for my 330d, got them from @FiRi@Rennzport and was of excellent quality.
I also have the gloss black front lip and carbon mirror caps, it definitely picked the front of the car up.
Hope you enjoy her, I might be bias but I think the 330d is special 🤓

I like the colour of the rims - I would leave them like that. Gloss black FTW - not sure about the brake calipers. I also considered this but am in two minds...the M Perf brakes are really what you want - what sticks in my mind is painted my standard ones will only point out the fact more that I don't have the M Perf ones hahahaha...but each to their own for sure.

Congrats on the car! You won't be disappointed with your purchase. I concur what @Morribiscuit suggested. I saw and heard his car on Sunday. He's got a great exhaust setup!
Love the wheels on your car. I just wouldn't want to clean them I vote to keep them black.

Thanks for all the feedback guys, i think for now will keep the wheels the same color and maybe do the calipers which will make the wheels "pop" more. Will also definitely go the route of getting the kidney grills and mirror covers.
