Cosmetic engine covers

Good Evening

How much do you worry about the cosmetic covers in the engine bay?

I am a very fussy BMW owner and every time after having work done on our BMW the engine covers is scratched.....

Our car went to Auto Atlantic last week for a lot of repairs. I washed the car tonight and cleaned the engine bay, only to discover that all the covers is badly scratched. Not very happy about this.

What would you do in a case like this?

I still need to replace my screw-caps, the little ones that go over the screws on top of the cover, to make the cover look nice...
after my last service, about a week later when cleaning my engine bay, I found that the 2 front ones were broken, and the 2 rear ones missing... :argh:
NO WAY of proving it was bmw, so left it there...
Will order some new ones later.

I can relate to your frustration.

I had my whole engine replaced and upon the return of my vehicle, I realised that my front bumper (close to the bonet) and also my engine cover is BADLY scratched.

Dealership in question: Barloworld Motors T/A: Auto Atlantic.

Contact the service manager and then the DP if you don't come right.

BMW also have a complaints line if the DP does not resolve this for you.

So Mr OCD, why has your car not been booked in for a Detail yet?

That will make you freak out everytime you even look at your car.

Auto Atlantic seems to be seeing a lot of bad publicity at the moment.... :nonono:
