Cool winamp plugin

Best plugin ever! I spend an hour last night just messing around with it. I have a lot of older music, but it's all been remastered and so it doesn't have that 60's or 70's sound anymore. With this plugin, it does. The plugin itself is also very well written and works great. You can even decide how much dust must be on your "record". It also has quite a few presets like the Year knob. Set it to 1930 and I'm in an episode of Band of Brothers.

For those who like their oldies and you do use winamp, give this try. Much fun will be had :thumb:

I've been told that so many try and get rid of such noise and here I am putting it back

The thing is that there's a certain character that the noise of a record adds to the music. It made a cool song an awesome song to me. It's a lot like cars in a way. I tend to be drawn to cars with character and history. For me it's not quite enough that a car is "hot" or "cool". It must have some character. Like the lumpy idle of an old American V8 or the howl of the old Skyline straight 6. Something that makes you smile when you look at it, drive it, or just think about it. In short, stir some emotion. For me it's quite the same with music. For me there's just something about a record that just makes the music it plays so much more full of character. That said it doesn't really work with modern music. Some of the character that the noise adds to just isn't there.

I know a lot will think I'm weird, but aren't we all??
