Control arm bushes

Hey guys!can you please assist me how do I know when my control arm bushes is worn what must I look for?And what is this dreaded swirl flaps everyone is talking about tnks!

Pull up the handbrake and try and push the front wheels forwards and backward. (I normally just push them with my leg) If they move at all then you have a problem with (usually) the lower control arm bushes. Otherwise, take it to a suspension specialist to confirm.

Top tip to see exactly where the problem lies. Ed China, the guy on Wheeler Dealers, puts the car on a lift and pushes the suspension bits around with a crowbar. Things should hardly move, otherwise you will have to spend money. You can do it at home if you have axle stands.
