Considering BMW

Hi all,

I am new here and have started browsing lately. I am a big VW fan at current but I have started getting really interested in certian BMW models.

I currently have a Golf MKV GTI which I intend selling next year to make way for something new. I really like the 120d and 135i coupe and I am sure I will like them even more once I have driven them. I have truthfully never been a big fan of BMW's in gerneral but I may be swayed next year.

For now I am doing some investigation here before I do anything.

Cheers

In my opinion, the new Golf 6 GTI is a much nicer looking car than the current 1 series. However, as a driving experience the BMW is in a different league - so it all depends on what you're after.

the 1 series is a beautiful car, I HIGHLY doubt that you will continue being a VW fan after driving one.

There isn't a manufacturer that can make me part from BMW, even if they GAVE me a car.

Even if the Shelby Gt500 is my fav car. :inlove:

leave the 120d, 1st go test drive the 135i, or better yet a M.
Then have sleepless nights deciding.

Good idea bud, you must also look at the M135i hatchback, it is something above the GolfR in many ways.

I would take a BMW F20 125i M Sport over a GTi. In fact I am thinking of doing that next year to replace my E87 116i

I think it all depends on you really, if you want a soot machine like your TDI get the 120d, but if you want something better than the GTI vi get yourself a 135i and you will have a grin everyday

Coming from the VAG stable myself I find that beemer is a driver's car.

I say go test drive both of them and decide.

Also used to hate BMW until I drove one. The steering wheel feel, handling, sound and pace (if you buy the right one) are epic.

Welcome man! Lol I'm also trying to buy a BM one day :fencelook:

I just bought a MK6 myself

Anyways...the 135i is a awesome choice or even the M135i! Maybe wait for the new M3..if your pocket can handle it <(^^,)>
