Hi Guys
Im considering the idea of getting rid of my 120D Coupe and Cooper S to get a M135..

Anything i should be wary of, regarding the M135?

Any advice will be appreciated...

regards

This car has the ability to change your personality. If you are not a rogue it's only a petrol pedal away.
M235i IMO is not a correct comparison. One is a hatchback and the other a coupe 2door.
Hatchback is far more practical for the same fun.

Ok you can consider this a short review bought my m135i March 24 it was new. I traded in my 2012 Focus ST3 for my m135i. I bought the 5 door because I have a family which is growing :=): Otherwise I may have taken the m235i however for practicality the m135i wins.

So this car has impressed me from day 1, the ride and comfort on the road is years ahead of my Focus ST ( Given my ST had more options than the M135). Fuel economy hmmm well this totally depends on the driver obviously if your trash the car everywhere your economy will suck, the least i got on a full tank was 330km on the open road mixed with some spirited runs the best I have seen is 550km on a tank. On a long road maybe a trip to kZn i am sure this car will see close to 700km and I am not exaggerating. Day to day from home to work and back its usually 380km to 450km on a tank thats with driving in eco pro mode most of the time. The consumption is way better than my Focus ST (with software) plus the m135i has a smaller tank!!! BUT you don't buy this car to cruise around town its an animal and you need to unleash the Beast

Ok so performance wise... This is my first bmw and first rwd car. This car is incredibly quick from the line if your launch it properly!!! I find that you need to be really carefully with this car at times as its easy to get this car to go sideways even with traction control on :praise: Its proper quick and believe me you will destroy most hot hatches out there stock vs stock... Be careful of the A45 tho and new Golf R that thing is very potent from the line but you will have more than enough power to give it a run.

Power delivery is crazy instant power with no turbo lag, most of the time I reach crazy speeds and I am like wtf 180 already ?????

Build quality is solid no plastic like my ST. I have leather Dakota seats and i find they are very comfortable. The steering wheel feels solid and feedback from the steering wheel is quite precise and makes you feel like you are in full control of the car.

One thing about this car is the boot is quite small.

I am happy with my choice and even though its not a full M car I can't really fault it for what I use the car for which is mostly road use. My car has ran 13.6 at Tarlton with a few tweaks I am sure i can crack 13.0 - 13.2.

There is nothing to be wary of really, the Motorplan puts my mind at ease so I don't have to worry about coughing out money if anything goes.

At a minimum i would suggest the following extra's

Xenon
Sunroof
Leather Seats

Make the right choice test drive the car first weigh the pro's and con's

Thank You Guys
it seems you have helped me make up my mind...

Now for the next question....does any1 know a good BMW dealer, preferably in the Gauteng area that will do a good deal for me with regards to "trade-in" of both current cars for a M135?

thanks
