colours

The last bit of my renovations at home is done, for now according to the wife. Hence time to start shopping for another E90.

So coming from titanium silver, I first wanted to go Le Mans blue, then thought "nah. Then wanted Apine White, then again thought nah.

So Finally decided it will be Vermillion red, now to start shopping:rollsmile:

Why is there not a lot of E90's in that color on the road?

Not many people like red cars, also there is some cases where the insurance on a red car might be higher than on other colours. Red cars also tend to get pulled over more often.

The biggest thing is that many people when buying a car have a small bit of there brain the assesses resale, and that is why people tend to go for more conventional colours rather than colours like bright red yellow or green, cause there is a fear that it will hurt resale.

Remember the old red cars all of them use to fade but only cause they weren't look after. I think that's why.

Get the red if you can find one. I've seen red e46 and e90 all with sport or individual kits and I want one.

But just keep in mind that those older cars used to only had a colour coat and no clear coat so the paint faded badly over time.

I remember when we where little helping my granddad polish his red DKW and with the polishing the cloth would actually become red - so you are actually taking off colour paint.

That's why I said I think that's why there aren't no many maybe people still think thats the case with red cars. Even if not any more

Staistically a red car is most likely to
Be involved in an accident than any other colour. A family member has an e90 in verm red. It looks spectacular.

I usually stopped looking for specific colours of cars when shopping. The problem is that when you are dead set on a specific colour and you find the car, there's a 99% chance there's something wrong with it and you've overlooked 10 other decent cars in the process ...

Make a list of 3-5 colours that you'd like and then start shopping, else you'd wait a very long time to get a red E90. If you're patient then it's fine, but if you want a car within an acceptable timeframe, broaden your options.

Red E90s do look awesome though, if you can find a well cared for example

Interestingly black cars are always last on my list, but I always find those first in decent condition :nonono:

I understand now :=):

Sadly I cannot spec one in red, nothing available. Busy waiting on availability of colors.:argh:

If I don't get something nice in a color I want I will start looking at pre-owned e90's.

Going diesel this time around, if the budget allows for it:thumbs:

Apparently production on certain model E90's has stopped due to the new 3 launching soon.

If you're considering diesel, go for a 330d if you can - the 3.0d LCI motors are bloody good
