Hi Guys, i have a e46 318ti with lowered springs on and have now seen a e36 coil over sleeve kit for R1595 at Max mortorsport and would like to now if this will fit on the e46.

some work some dont...

major problems that can happen is they can be noisy if they dont fit the shock nicely or just seize in place leaving you with a fixed ride height again...

do you want more drop or less drop?
what springs do you have on there now?

Don’t do budget coilovers!!! Unless you want to get motion sickness going over every bump. Rather get a decent spring / shock combo which Moranor can suggest.

i fitted enforce 40mm drop springs when i bought my car cos the previous o had heated and even cut the springs so the car was almost on the floor(90mm drop) and it looked sweet with that drop so was thinking of putting coil overs so i can go low with the ride being good as well. but came across the sleeve kit on the max motorsport web page and wanted to no if it will be good or bad. but think i would rather save up and get the right stuff.

looks good

sleeve overs will not drop it any lower than it already is... they could be used to make it a bit higher though...

Unfortunately the lower you go the more uncomfortable the car will get even if you shell out on high end coilovers optimum drop is still about 40mm because lower will cause you to run out of travel and the control arms will sit at the wrong angles...

this makes the car uncomfortable and handle badly...

you can minimise the impact of lowering but using high quality components (Nforce is known to rune the ride :( ) My advice is not to lower any more and get some high quality dampers (shocks) on there they will improve things considerably but you may still have to change springs later if you want to improve it more...

Koni STR.T offer the biggest band for buck solution for dampers:
R 2900 front a Pair
R 1640 Rear a Pair

I can also offer you H&R or Eibach springs but seeing as you already spent on springs rather change the dampers 1st and see if you happy with the ride after....
