Hey Guys
My family's E90 320i has been making a bad noise the past month or two - not completely sure. It is/was sort of like a very "burly" kind of noise, almost resembles the sound a broken exhaust would make - that deep rumble - but it was coming from the front of the car.
Yesterday, things got worse, it's developed a "clacking" kind of noise, like some kind of diesel engine. Sorry my description of the noises isn't the greatest.
Obviously the car needs to get to a mechanic (however it's far out of warranty), but my stepfather always uses Boss Auto Clinic in Randburg as he knows the owner well - but is very worried about driving it there from Centurion.
If there are any guys nearby Highveld, Centurion that knows a bit about these cars and can maybe have a look/listen, and possibly give an idea of what's wrong and what sort of damage we're looking at cost wise. I'm hoping ideally - if there is anyone who wouldn't mind having a look - possibly Sunday (12 April 2015) or this evening (Friday, 10 April) although any time would be helpful if we can arrange it.
If there's anyone that may be able to come over to just have a look, you can send me a PM with your contact info or to request mine (or any other info).
I also welcome input on the forum from the rest of you guys. Thanks!
