1lt pure methanol to a tank of 20-30lt diesel in the tank... Its better than 2SO honestly with a nice performance pep.

I never knew we can use methanol mixed with diesel...can you give more info please....like does it make a difference to performance? must you map the car to run methanol mix?
Any feedback will be great...is it good for the M57 engine or are we looking at problems down the line when using it too much?

i think its just like the effect of adding more octane to the fuel, hence the performance boost. its probably not good to do this often though with injector cleaner.. i believe it does contaminate your oil if used excessively

I'm thinking of maybe using it once a week or fortnightly...looking for a bit more performance boost...lol...i used the injector cleaner once only...so using the methanol shouldn't be as bad as injector cleaner contaminating my oil?

methanol additives should be okay i guess :thumbs: ... injector cleaner and those other types of things have all sorts of detergents and corrosive agents to help clean the lines, which is why you shouldnt use it alot.

its just meant to be used to decontaminate the build up on injectors, lines, waste gates and vnt systems. Please dont go using it daily as long term use wont be healthy for items that rely on lubrication from the diesel to operate.

The methanol does add a nice performance pep for that tank as well... remember highly tuned diesel motors also use WMI kits but with 100% pure meth instead.

Thanx for the info...gonna try it and see...like i say...i'll use it maybe once a week at killarney and stick to the 1l/20-30L of diesel:thumbs:

So i tried the methanol mix..1l/30l of diesel...def a performance difference but now whenever i start the car it just swings but dont start...after 5 to 6 attempts it only starts and idle normal...is this normal or is something wrong..just after i added the meth it started doing it.

Some cars with meth struggle with cold start if it not tuned properly for meth, but would not have thought your mixture would give a similar issue

Its not just cold starr...its everytime i start it...car is not mapped for methanol though...should i worry?
