I have some extra interior lights for the e34 and some matches ....so instead of breaking off tabs on the lights I sanded a few matches so that their ends were chisel shaped .
I then pushed each tab with a screwdriver and inserted matches to keep the parts apart . It was then easy to seperate the parts once all tabs were loosened ...no tabs were broken in this way .
All matches inserted :
Matches showing tabs , one match point sanded .
Stripped light with dust ..
End result .....
Did the two rear and front middle so far .
