Chip or Remapping of the EMS

Hi, i recently wanted to have a dastek chip put in my bmw 318ti 2004 model,but the guy said the gains would be insignificant? Is this true? and another thing that i thought of doing is getting the EMS remapped? Do you have any info on prices and what the gains would be in getting the EMS remapped? thanx:thinking:

I think it wil be worth while. I got 9kw gain (Wheels) on an 04 318i with a Unichip Q , fitted at RBTS racing in Kempton park. THeir prices arre reasonable and service excellent.

hi RR booi, the thing is im not sure how much difference 9kw would make??? Was there an instant difference in the drivability of ur car? could you feel that there was more power or torque? and did ur fuel economy improve??? all of this info would be helpful to me!!! If you dont mind could you give me the price that u paid for the chip and was that all that u done to gain 9kw? Where around do u stay? if u are close to where i stay i would like to go for a drive in ur car so that i could feel the diffs?? thanx :dunno:
