Chimes seem to have been disabled

Hi guys. As the topic states, all the chimes including pdc are not functioning. On the hidden menu sub section 13 is stating that its set to no sound and does not allow me to change it. Has anyone had the same experience and sorted it out or do I have to go to the stealers?
